creative halloween

I'm just loving the projects Carter has been bringing home from preschool. Halloween was no exception: the kids got to pick out their own pumpkin from a large lot of squash and gourds and decorate during their Pumpkin Party. Upon picking up our preschoolers that day, I'm sure every parent hoped the one massive pumpkin was not going home with them -- at least I was thinking that. My wonderful son made this beautiful green gourd:

Pretty cool, eh? Yuh, I thought so too.

On the back is glued this message which I had never come across before and really LIKE!

"Christians are Like Jack O'Lanterns
God picks you from the pumpkin patch and brings you into his home. He washes off all the dirt on the outside that you got from being around all the other pumpkins. He cuts off the top and takes out all the yucky stuff on the inside. He removes the seeds of sinfulness and carves you a new smiling face. He puts HIS light inside of you to SHINE for all to see.
SHINE FOR JESUS!"
