get your craft on!

We LOOOOVE getting packages in the mail. This one was especially exciting! It was from my very good and dear friend and 'roomie' from university.

We carefully pulled the tab to open the envelope...

OOOOOh! a treat for Paityn...

...and two boys named: Carter & Logan!

Seriously, are these not the BEST? And the best thing you could create with bleach and a water pistol? Click on over to Terri's blog, em-bell-ish for the tutorial!

Can't you tell how much they LOVE the t's?
Now I just have to remember to take Paityn's pic with hers on...

beat me to it

I'm so glad someone beat me to this idea and I can follow someone else's solution. I was foolish to think I was the only one dealing with this issue: I've only got two hands but sometimes I need to hold onto Carter's hand, Logan's hand, a carseat with Paityn inside and a diaper bag. I usually hold one boy's hand and the boys hold hands, and carry Paityn with my other hand.... Make It and Love It's idea will work well though and if you were really hard core you could even fashion these straps and attach to your belt.

I'm thinking about making two shorter ones for the stroller so Carter and Logan have a dedicated place to hold on to while we go for walks in the neighborhood or while shopping with the stroller. The boys currently like to hold on to the push-handle but their short stature makes tipping the stroller with Paityn in it a bit of a risk.

Just add it to my list of projects...

driving me crazy

No, it's not the kiddos or my husband -- not entirely anyways.

Look at these:

I seem to have purchased a fair bit of fabric in the past few weeks. Will I really have a moment to sew again? My mind is whirling with ideas and projects as well as our plans for an Etsy shop.

more to follow....

this week, so far...

Just a few pictures of what we've been up to of late.

Align CenterCarter and Logan were treated to scooters thanks to another toy breaking and a subsequent credit at Toys R Us.

The greatest part is that Logan, whose legs were not yet long enough for his tricycle, has no trouble at all with the scooter.

Tomorrow Paityn will be four weeks old...

All yummy after her bath this morning.

Carter and Logan love to entertain Paityn.

She's gonna be just as silly...

Doncha love the double chin?

at the beach

The weather is warming up around here and we're starting to talk about using that holiday trailer we bought while there was still snow on the ground. I'm looking forward to going to the beach with the kids but not so sure about sporting a bathing suit at this juncture. After all, Paityn was born just a week and a day ago.

Take a look at the fabulous beach cover-up Dana from MADE has sewn up! I think it's a must-have for modest beaching and looks to be so easy to assemble! Just a thin beach towel and some shirring. Think of all the cute but thin, crappy, this'll never absorb enough water beach towels you've seen. Your daughter probably needs one too.
